New Year, New Focus
Every year, I'm eager to begin the new school year with a fresh perspective and focus. As I prayed about what our family focus should be this year, the answer was clear: The Lord Loves Effort. I've pondered this theme and have been amazed at how it applies to all of the goals we're working toward this year.
The Lord Loves Effort
Joy Jones, a woman I greatly admire, recently said: "The Lord loves effort, and effort brings rewards. We keep practicing. We are always progressing as long as we are striving to follow the Lord. He doesn’t expect perfection today. We keep climbing our personal Mount Sinai. As in times past, our journey does indeed take effort, hard work, and study, but our commitment to progress brings eternal rewards."
I'm working hard to build a business.
One son continues to work hard as a pianist.
Two boys eagerly pursue greater accomplishments in mountain biking.
One child is joining the school orchestra.
Four kids are giving their best academic effort.
Two daughters are learning new tumbling tricks.
One child is working on friendship skills.
One daughter is becoming a more proficient reader.
We're all doing our best to keep our home clean.
Do you have a family focus or motto? What goals are you pursuing this year?
I wish you the best in your individual pursuits! If you'd like to use any of these posters in your home, just send me your email and I'll pass them along.
